With so many various lakes and rivers, and possibilities to fish for a lot of different species, Dalsland is just an angler's dream..... 

In our area you will enjoy beautiful nature, endless forests, and hundreds of clear inner lakes, from small to very big.  Experienced anglers will absolutely love the challenge of Lake Vänern. With over 5000 km2  of water it is one of Europe's biggest lakes! Or better call it a fresh-water sea. You will be impressed by it's beautiful nature, wildlife, stunning bays, and countless islands along the beautiful coastline.

​On every lake in Dalsland you can catch really big predators like pike, zander and perch, and on Vänern there's also a good chance for species like salmon and trout! 

 

SEASONS AND METHODS

ALL YEAR ROUND

We provide fishing possibilities in every season. In spring, it's most efficient with spinfishing- or flyfishing, and in summer you can expect really big fish when using methods like trolling or pelagic fishing. In autumn you can practice both, and in winter time we recommend you to try icefishing, which is really a wonderful experience and lot's of fun!

Fishing licenses

In most lakes a fishing licence is required. The only exceptions are Lake Vänern and Vättern, where fishing is free as long as you confirm to the general and legal regulations.  Read more on Fiskeland.se
