After the Berkley Pro's left here after a nice week of fishing, two of them, Sean Wit and Johannes Dietel, decided to stay here for a few days longer .
Because we appreciated their visit here very much and had a nice time together, we surprised them with a Salmon trip on Vanern, with many thanks to my friend and fishing-guide Fredrik Hedstrom. They started at 6.00 in the morning and fished up to 13:00. Although it was a short trip they managed to catch some decent salmon and even hooked a sea-bird :-)
They enjoyed their trip very much, had fun, beautiful weather and lot's of big M+ pikes as you can see some on the pictures below. It was nice to have you here guys, thank you both and i hope we meet soon again. Hopefully i have some time myself also then, i sure want to go out for a day fishing with you :-)
At the same time Wim Kemna and Ralph Rispens arrived . Very funny to know that they live in the small town of Assendelft in the Netherlands, where i used to live many years before i moved to Sweden.
When they arrived the fishing was pretty hard compared to the week before, i guess due to changing winds and weather circumstances but who knows for sure..... that's pike fishing, it cannot always be party. So at first they had a hard time finding the bigger ones, but halfway their week they got the feeling how to do the trick. So they ended up with real nice fish and beat their PR with 107 and a 114 cm fat pikes ! Furthermore they really enjoyed beautiful nature here, and also had close encounters with deers, mooses, beavers and other animals that live here. I think the movie below explains their Dalsland-feeling at it's best ! :-)
I already know who won, but a few guys here still don't agree :-)
So we will have a democratic meeting first, and in a few days i will publish the winner of the trophee on the picture here on the right !
I hope their fishing continues like this, but i will report later again .
Thanks for reading !
